Build Community By
Serving Your Community
One of the things that we are called to do as individual believers and as part of Newark United Methodist Church is to serve others, locally, and globally. We are also called to work towards social justice and challenge injustice in its various forms in our world.
Local Ministries
Newark United Methodist Church has a long history of impacting our local community through service. We are a compassionate congregation, serving others in response to the need we see around us. Programs we support include:
“If I then, the Lord and the Teacher, washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. For I gave you an example that you also should do as I did to you.”
John 13:14-15 (NASB)
Global Ministries
The mission reach of Newark United Methodist Church is global. We support the connectional agencies of The United Methodist Church through local church-based projects, funding, and missionary work, including:
- Africa University
- Borderlinks
- General Board of Global Ministries (GBGM)
- Mission Partner Church
- Partners in Mission
- United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR)
- Water is Life–Kenya
Social Justice
