NUMC Community & Church Programs
Fostering Connection In Our Congregation and with Our Community Partners
NUMC offers a wide array of opportunities for encounters with God, such as: spiritual reflection and renewal, Christian education and service, and growth and challenge in discipleship within the context of the life of the church.
Music & Arts
Music/Worship Arts
Celebrate and share God’s Word through the music and performing arts from choirs and handbell ensembles to instrumentalists and vocal soloists.
Music Factory
A week-long music/drama camp in August, Music Factory is a fun-filled, enriching opportunity for children from our church and surrounding community to nurture their faith through music and drama.
Education
Sunday School
Our mission is to connect children and their families to Jesus through fun and inspiring ministry activities.
Every week, kids and teens hear about God’s love through hands-on learning designed to engage every personality and learning style. Then they learn to connect these lessons with their real lives, biggest struggles, and most pressing questions through practical application and honest discussion.
We also provide a nursery for babies 8-weeks to 4-years old.
We follow Safe Sanctuaries policies. You can find more information on that policy HERE.
Youth Group
A series of Sunday School lessons including interactive learning experiences like our virtual escape room.

College Student Ministries
The Wesley Foundation Campus Ministry is our student fellowship at the University of Delaware and hosts Bible study, small discussion groups, a prayer service, other events throughout the week, and an annual mission trip.
Adults
Adult classes on Sunday mornings include opportunities for traditional Bible study, topical faith issues, book/author studies, and short-term studies.
Bunting Library
Our bright and inviting room provides print materials for all ages, including picture books, pleasure reading recommendations, DVDs, and nonfiction books.
Celebrations
Celebrations are a cornerstone of our faith journeys. Send us a message if you are looking for more information.
Weddings
We affirm the sanctity of the marriage covenant that is expressed in love, mutual support, personal commitment, and shared fidelity between equal partners. Couples wishing to be married in our church should plan to inquire at least 6 months in advance to begin planning and scheduling pre-marital counseling.
Baptism
Baptism is a symbol of new life and a sign of God’s love and forgiveness of our sins. We baptize by sprinkling and accept persons of any age for baptism.
Memorials/Celebrations of Life
The loss of a loved one is usually a difficult time, especially for the family of the deceased. It is during these times that it’s important to celebrate the life of the person who has died but also to come together as a community for mutual comfort and be reminded that in resurrection, Jesus conquered death.
