Let’s all begin the Advent season with an inter-generational, church family event!  Everyone is invited to the Winterfest/Greening of the Church on Friday evening, December 2nd starting at 5:30 p.m.  This event coincides with Winterfest on Main Street, sponsored by the Downtown Newark Partnership.

The evening begins with a pizza dinner, sponsored by the Worship Team, at 5:30 p.m.

Decorating tasks will begin immediately following dinner.

• Worship Team personnel assign tasks to groups as needed
• Children (and others) are encouraged to make an ornament craft for hanging on the Heritage Hall tree. A second (same or different) craft may be made to take home, while supplies last.
• Children (and others) who are not assigned a task and who finish their craft (or who chose not to craft) are invited to participate in a mini-tournament of classic board games. Rules will be distributed at the event. This is a cooperative tournament – no winners/losers, just fun and fellowship!

Caroling (time TBD) will be followed by hot chocolate and cookies to conclude the evening’s activities. If you are able to contribute a plate of cookies, that would be most welcome!
