There is much to be thankful for, and this is the season during which we’re reminded of how important it is to recognize and give thanks to God, who provides for us. We need look no further than Jesus Christ for a model of how we should give thanks when we pray. We also recognize that the community around us and the wider world we live in is in dire need of prayer for so many reasons. The season of Advent provides a time of waiting and reflection on what it is we need and are looking for. As Christ did, we look to God as we hope for the future, as God holds our very lives in God’s hands.
