United Methodist Women

logo of the United Methodist WomenUnited Methodist Women (UMW) is a community of women who nurture and encourage one another in their spiritual growth, personal leadership, and friendships.  Out of a commitment for mission locally and globally, our church’s UMW choose to participate in meetings, prayer, action, Bible study, and by serving and/or giving financially.

UMW is a national organization with nearly one million members. It fosters spiritual growth, develops leaders, and advocates for justice. Members worldwide raise approximately $20 million a year for programs and projects related to women, children, and youth in the U.S. and in more than 100 countries around the world. Our local unit, the Newark United Methodist Women, has also assisted many in our local community through its mission.

All women of the church are invited to join UMW. Please contact our local unit president for more information.
