Director of Music Ministries

Ned Perwo

Ned Perwo is Director of Music Ministries at Newark United Methodist Church. He is also our principal organist.

Mr. Perwo received a B.M. in Music Education from The College of New Jersey (formerly Trenton State College) and a Master of Arts in Church Music from Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Columbus, Ohio.  At NUMC he oversees an extensive music program, which includes three choral ensembles, one contemporary worship ensemble,
the First State Ringers, and the George Kirk Concert series.

In addition to his duties at NUMC, Mr. Perwo is the Worship Chair of the Delaware Chapter of the American Choral Director’s Association, on the Board of Directors for RSCM America, and adjunct instructor of Low Brass at Ocean County College in Toms River, NJ.  Mr. Perwo has sung bass with the Kinnara Ensemble of Princeton, NJ and the New Jersey Chamber Singers of Red Bank, NJ.
He currently sings with the University of Delaware’s  Schola Cantorum.
