United Methodist Women Roll and Muffin Sale this Sunday

Look for the UMW in Cokesbury Lobby at between services on January 21st. Delicious home-baked rolls and muffins on sale. All proceeds help us support missions locally, nationally and globally.  Soup sale is coming in February – ask about it when you pick up your rolls and muffins!

Schedule change

Starting in January, the Noisy Methodist Prayer Service that had been scheduled for Wednesday evenings is moving to Thursday evenings at7:30 in the Chapel. This group will meet on January 18th.

Outreach Team Go-bags collection

The Outreach Team is collecting Go-bag items through February 11th. Of particular need is protein meals with flip-top lids (do not require a can-open; an example is meals produced by Chef Boyardee). These are also needed for the Food Cupboard. Items may be left in the main office on Sundays or during weekday business hours. Thank you for your support of these important local ministries.

A Way Forward event in Salisbury, Maryland

Join us for a forum on the future of the United Methodist Church. This event is part of the Bishops’ Commission on a Way Forward to present options on how we can live together faithfully with differing beliefs about human sexuality. The Commission has asked for our feedback. This event will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., at Salisbury University, 1101 Camden Ave., Salisbury, Maryland. Youth Mission Trip fundraiser

The youth mission trip team is selling magnets to raise money for their summer mission trip with The Philadelphia Project. Magnets with the youth group logo and church logo will be for sale at $3 each. Stop by our table in the Welcome Center to get yours!

Program year registrations

Register for Sunday school/children choirs [ online Sunday school registration / online choirs registration ]. Sunday school print registration forms can be found in Cokesbury Lobby and on the ushers’ tables.

Extending our hospitality on Sunday mornings

Sunday morning greeters are needed!  Can you sign up here for just one week per month? Sign-up posters also appear in Cokesbury Lobby and in the Welcome Center.

Reminder – Silent Auction is coming!

Don’t miss this popular Silent Auction – including the newest feature of an Open Mic Coffee House!  ALL ARE WELCOME, so invite your friends to join you on Saturday, January 27th, starting at 6 p.m.  Proceeds will be used to offset costs of wonderful NUMC ministries that serve the community.

Food Cupboard update

Items needed this week: hearty soups (getting very low!) and we are totally out of protein meals with pop-tops (e.g., Chef Boyardee)
