Virtual and Hybrid Classes for Elementary and Middle School Students
Higher Ground Academy (HGA) is an outreach to families of creative-but-overwhelmed children who may be experiencing challenges in the traditional classroom environment. Research on personality types suggest that almost 20% of the population learns in ways not typically addressed in American classrooms. HGA offers a variety of virtual (online) and hybrid (mixed online and in-person) learning plans to fit almost any budget. In-person hours currently are held four afternoons per week at Newark United Methodist Church.
HGA Learning Plans are designed for children and youth, ages 9-16. A follow- up program, operated by the State of Delaware, can result in a Delaware state high school diploma. For more information, please click here for the school's website.
